RiseOrPay is an alarm clock with an optional self-set commitment fee. This policy explains the small amount of data we collect, why, and how you stay in control. Most of your data never leaves your device.
RiseOrPay collects the following information to provide its core service:
Your information is used solely to:
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data.
Your data is stored securely on Supabase cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and encryption in transit (TLS). We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
The commitment fee is a Consumable In-App Purchase that you configure on each alarm. Default is $0. We do not charge anything unless you have explicitly set a fee on an alarm and then chosen to hit snooze on that alarm. Charges are processed through the Apple App Store (StoreKit) or Google Play Billing — we never see, store, or process your card details. Unintended charges are refundable within 24 hours by emailing us, and you can also use Apple's standard refund process at reportaproblem.apple.com. You can change, lower, or disable the commitment fee on any alarm at any time.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app settings. Upon deletion, all personal data — including emergency contacts, profile information, check-in history, and location records — will be permanently removed within 30 days. Contact us to request a data export or expedited deletion.
RiseOrPay offers an optional Premium subscription that unlocks advanced statistics and cloud backup of your alarm history. Pricing is shown in-app at the time of purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (iOS) or Google Play subscriptions (Android).
We use the following providers to operate RiseOrPay. They act as data processors on our behalf and do not sell or share your data:
